Player Drawings for Fall HYR T Shirts
In the past year, we have had players draw team shirt artwork a couple times. We are offering that again this summer where players can submit artwork. There will not be a particular theme, so just about any artwork they want to submit would be great. To learn more and maybe submit a drawing, please visit the HYR T-Shirt page linked below:

Field Hockey Survey
HYR is taking a survey of interest in the sport of field hockey. We are interested to know if this would be an opportunity to prepare players for Middle School Field Hockey since opportunities for elementary school students are fairly limited. Please consider taking this 2-minute survey to help us assess the viaility of offering some clinics or a league.

Looking for Parents to Participate in Survey re: Youth Sports
Peter Myre and his brother Charlie have coached HYR Baseball and Basketball multiple times in the past few years. Peter is currently a PhD Student in Sports Administration Management, and he is conducting research called “An Exploration of Parental Knowledge Acquisition in Sports: Implications for Facilitating Athlete Development” .
The purpose of this study is to examine how youth sport parents acquire knowledge and the sources they utilize in their role as facilitators of athlete development.
Participation in the study will involve a one-time, 45–60 minute recorded Zoom interview/phone call.

2025 Summer Video Camp (Starting July 14th)
HCM and Beargrass Media are collaorating on a video camp this July 14-18. In the camp, The students learn how to write, record, edit, and publish video productions. The students use personal devices like phones and tablets as well as camp-supplied iPads, video cameras, microphones, green screen, etc. The camps will be returning to Highland Presbyterian Church at 1011 Cherokee Road in the Highlands.
The camp will be July 14 - 18, 2025 from 9 AM - 4 PM and is geared towards students rising into grades 3-8 in the fall of 2025. To find out more about the camps, please visit the Beargrass Media web page:
