It is amazing that HYR has been a rite of passage in the Highlands since 1976. In the summer and fall of 2076, we want to lean in on that HYR Director Patrick Fitzgerald played in the first season of HYR soccer ever in 1976, and he was recently asked by HCM to write a blog post about it, which is linked directly below.

We want YOUR story!
We hear from parents all the time that they played HYR when they were kids. We are starting to hear from Grandparents that they played or coached HYR WAY back in the day. We want to collect the story of HYR and YOU.

How you learned to play the game and how much fun you had...
How one of your teammmates became your best friend (or your spouse)...
How your coach taught you something important that you carried forward in life...
How you took your love of the game and went on to play in high school or college...
How you as a former player became an HYR coach...

We also want PICTURES!
Team Pictures from the end of your HYR season...
Pictures of you with your trophy or medal...
Pictures of you as an adult wearing or holding your old HYR T-Shirt.
