Below this line is from before the 2025 Fall clinics.
FUNdamental Field Hockey clinics are a great way to learn about field hockey in a fun and affordable way. We will provide all the equipment your child needs to participate and our coaches and will teach you the FUNdamentals of this awesome international sport.
Who can participate? Any elementary or middle school student aged 8-11 is welcome (boys or girls). No experience with field hockey or any other sport is necessary.
What will my child learn? Our coaches will teach your child the basics of using a field hockey stick to dribble, push pass, and hit the ball. After a brief lesson on each basic skill, kids will play a fun game using that skill. The clinic will end with a team competition putting all the skills together.
Who coaches the clinics? Lucy Miller is the coach of the Highland Middle School Field Hockey team, and she will lead the clinics with the help some of her former players.
How do I register?
If your player has played sports with HYR in the past, you can log in to your existing account and register your player for either clinic or both. If you do not have a account in our system, please read the instructions linked below.
